Welcome to Inner Struggle Original Character Tournament!

Okay, so what's the story?
Your character is trapped inside its own imagination, probably by falling into a coma of some kind. They face up against another person's Original character (Because it's an OCT, duh.) but if your character wins, there's a twist: It turns out the defeated character was a figment of the winning character's imagination, and in fact was not someone who fell into a coma!
So basically, the winning character in the tournament will be the only character that actually fell into a coma, and that was actually real. So it's all a bit confusing. If your character lost in say, the final round, it turns out none of your entries actually happened and your character was just the figment of the winner's imagination.

What about character development?
Being trapped inside one's own mind is a great way to depict a personal oddyssey within your character. However, it would be prefferable if your opponent's character was not developed, because they are not real in your entry. This does not mean they are all offense, but you'll have to figure out a reason for them to fight. KILLING YOUR OPPONENT'S CHARACTER IS PERFECTLY FINE, because they are not real in your entry. However let's not get too gruesome with it, or you'll make your opponent cry while reading it.

Uhhh... so do I need to make an audition?
You'll need to make a reference sheet for your character, and an audition which will depict how your character fell into a coma, or trance, or whatever, to be lost inside his or her own imagination.
It could be a car crash, or they could be doing drugs or something. Doesn't matter. Creativity is more important than artistic skill.

How do the fights occur?
Your character may or may not know that they are inside their own mind. Doesn't matter. The location is a place your character thinks of; a place they remember or a place they make up. The location can change randomly throughout fights, and items and objects they remember may appear. One minute you could be beating your opponent with a games console in your room, and the next in a desert with a tank. However don't make it too zany, and try to keep it in one or two areas. However, both characters keep their original abilities and stamina. They can't invent super powers if they didn't have them before. Keep them as they are on their original reference sheets. There are no NPCs and no interferences. Just your character, your opponent's character, and fight! _{Note: Your character has a chance of dying in your entries, too; let's just say being killed in your entries sort of means not waking up from your coma. But you can't really do that in your entries anyway.}

What do I get if I win?

1st place: 2 fully coloured digital drawings of anything they want except animals, anthros fine, animals, no.
2nd place: 1 fully coloured digital drawings of anything they want except animals, anthros fine, animals, no.
3rd place: 1 flat coloured digital sketch.

How many contestants?
16, 32 or 64 depending on how many entrants there are.

What makes a good entry?
Clear storytelling - please no squashed panels, because that's ugly and hard to follow. Artistic skill doesn't matter. Creativity and a fun story are winning material.
All forms of entries are allowed - Comic, Animation and Writing (and any other if that's even possible.)
